The 4 Week On-Ramp: getting started with CrossFit
The On-Ramp foundations program is required for all new members. It consists of 3 classes per week for 4 weeks that cover the nine foundational movements of the
CrossFit program along with some basic conditioning. Your ability to master these skills in the coming months is essential to your success as a CrossFit athlete. Ensuring that all of our athletes have a solid foundation is an important part of the success you will find here. As our gym and our trainers have increased in popularity we have seen a lot of new growth. We have found a 4 week On-Ramp to be necessary so that beginners know what they're doing before being thrown into the regular classes, and still continue to maintain the high quality in each class that has fostered our growth.
It is common for us to receive a former or current athlete who believes they do not need these sessions because they are "in shape", yet they have the most horrible clean we've seen and can't do an overhead squat. Unless you already have 9-12 months of CrossFit in at another CrossFit gym with expert trainers correcting your form, you will need this. We are a high quality box focused on long-term development through efficient mechanics and we will expect a lot from you.
The On-Ramp beginner sessions are limited to only 8 people every month. You can reserve your spot here. The class will run for four weeks. Class times are 6:30AM on Mon, Wed, and Fri -- or 5:30PM Tues, Thurs, and 9AM Sat. The coupled Mon/Tues, Wed/Thur, Fri/Sat will cover the same material, so if you miss one day plan on making it up at the alternate time.

ABOUT ATTENDENCE: The OnRamp is built on movement progressions. Attendance to ALL 12 OnRamp sessions is required and WILL be well worth your time. If you need to miss a class you must schedule a 1-on-1 personal training session with Adam ($40/hr) within 48 hours or you will be missing important material required for subsequent sessions. You will be required to retake the OnRamp a 2nd time at 1/2 price if you cannot make up your session on time. Please do not sign up here if you can not commit to 4 weeks. The OnRamp sells out every month and you will be preventing someone else from attending.
CUSTOM SCHEDULING: If the class times simply do not work for you and your schedule requires something outside of the regular hours, you can contact [email protected] to schedule 1-on-1 OnRamp classes. Do not reserve a spot online if you plan to complete the OnRamp solo with Adam. Times and payment will be completed directly with Adam.
The On-Ramp's primary focus is The Nine Foundations: the squat, front squat, and overhead squat, the press, push press, and push jerk, the deadlift, sumo-deadlift
high-pull, and the clean. Also covered are the snatch, KB swing, kipping pull-ups, toes-2-bar, rowing, pistols, etc. along with some basic conditioning at the end of each session.
You do not need a membership to sign up for the OnRamp and you are not committed to sign up for membership after completing the OnRamp. The OnRamp program is separate from membership. At the completion of the OnRamp will have the option to to join on one of the plans below or you can repeat the OnRamp for 1/2 price if you do not yet feel you are ready for full-on CrossFit classes.

Unlike traditional "open gyms" CrossFit affiliates are
professional
training facilities.
You will see tangible, measurable results if you are willing to commit.
Single workouts (for non-members) are $20 / day.
If you are new to CrossFit and would like to try it before becoming a

Refund Policy
New memberships can be canceled and refunded within 15 days of purchase if you are unsatisfied with our services AND have attended classes at least 3x / wk. Attendance less than 3x / week will result in little to no performance gains, in which case we expect anyone to be dissatisfied due to the nature of non-compliance. Refunds will not be issued to new members who do not participate. Please do NOT sign a membership contract if you are not serious about improving your health and fitness.

Cancellation Policy
Canceling your commitment to us is easy. Just email [email protected] at least 30 days before your contract renews. Because your contract is time-sensitive, you must email to ensure that there is a time-stamped record of your request with billing (speaking with a trainer does not qualify, they do not have access to billing and there is no record of your request).
It is important that you actually read your contract and understand your responsibilities. It's very short and simple. If you skipped over your contract when you signed up or forget what it says, it is available to you 24/7/365 at me.crossfitcle.com. As stated above, in the gym, and in your contract: ALL contracts auto-renew. Failure to meet the monthly dues in your contract will result in credit agency reporting and debt collections.
Your contract with CrossFit CLE is a legally binding commitment. Membership fees are NOT discounted for lack of usage. Allowing oneself to become so busy that you no longer choose to make exercise a regular part of your life does NOT exempt you from the contract.

Hey there, I have been anticipating the arrival of a Cleveland based CrossFit affiliate for some time and heard on the radio the other day that it has FINALLY happened!!! Thank you, congrats and welcome!!! I am a 30yr old, out of work but soon to be re-employed part-time police officer, just finished up a stressful divorce and custody battle, purchased a home in Lyndhurst (more stress) during my divorce, work a demanding full time job as the Public Safety Director of Legacy Village shopping center and am in the worst health of my life. I subscribe to the CrossFit and Zone lifestyle but unfortunately haven't been participating in either for approximately a year and a half at this time. I am at a point in my life that motivation has returned as well as the ability to dedicate myself to my goals. Your box is quite a drive for me, especially since I have a demanding work schedule and a beautiful daughter to spend time with. Aside from a personal commitment being the first and foremost requirement for a healthy lifestyle my question is this: Are you, as an affiliate, able to take on a client who is in very poor condition, do you have trainers who are experienced in working with clients such as myself or are you better equipped to handle clients who are in good condition looking to achieve excellence. We'd love to have you here. We definitely take on people who aren't in great shape, probably about 1/2 of our members actually. We have success with these people if they are, like you said, willing to commit. If you're already familiar with CrossFit you know that the workouts are designed to scale to any age/fitness level, and we regularly help our members scale according to their ability. You will fit right in. Can you come in on Monday? We're open 6-7am, 7-8am, noon-1, 5-6pm, 6-7pm, 7-8pm, 8-9pm on Monday.

Hi, I am extremely interested in joining CrissFit CLE. I am a former athlete that for the past almost 13 years has been doing damage to my body through lack of excercise, bad eating habits and overall lack of motivation after dedicating most of my life to organized sports both growing up and in high school. With a new baby boy I truly believe that this is the motivation I need to show my son I am a healthy, active, motivated father. I looked at examples of workout session schedules. My only concern is that on Tues and Wed. there is no mid-day workout (from what I can see). I want to commit fully to this program, however, I can only commit to what my schedule allows at this point...dropping baby off in morning and needing to get home after work at night. I am wondering if 3 day/week commitment (as well as Sat and/or Sun.) is enough to produce positive results. Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated. I really want to make this work, but with the heavy financial commitment, I want to do it the right way.
3 day / wk plus weekends is definitely sufficent. In the beginning we won't want you going over 3 / wk. Maybe you can stop by tomorrow evening just to check out the space? And of course we can answer more questions then too, and/or you can get feedback from some of our members.
Thanks Aaron, I think the downtown location would be better suited for me, I am 26 and already in pretty decent shape, just want to push it to the next level. I have done a few WOD from crossfit.com and know they are pretty intense, just thought if I wanted to dive into probably be better to do at a gym with all the equipment needed, so I dont have to substitute workouts. Thanks for the information, I travel a bit for work and I will actually be out of the country on the 29th when the first on ramp program starts and will be in Orlando on the 26th, I would like to start up sometime soon....anyway around this?
