Rest Days Are Important
Rest days are important. Take one when you feel tired.
People new to CrossFit can easily overtrain. The environment is new and highly motivating, everyone is seeing results, and there is a natural tendency to think more work = more results. That's just not the case. Today for example, was the third day in a row of three challenging workouts. Most of us felt exhausted. If you feel exhausted when you wake up tomorrow morning, you should take a rest day even if CrossFit doesn't prescribe one.
Learning when to take a rest day has always been a challenge for me. I like to push myself. What happens if I don't rest? Joints that usually aren't sore will start to be sore, I feel generally exhausted, it is hard to wake up, and if I push through all that I usually get a cold or a sore throat.
Your body grows and adapts when you are resting, not working out. Let your body do its thing. Eat, sleep, and rest well.
