Blister free pullups!

I've been doing CrossFit for 9 months now and the only thing I dislike about the program are the never ending blisters and peeling skin on my palms from doing pullups. They have started bleeding on me several times. Don't get me wrong, CrossFit is serous about fitness, but it isn't so "hardcore" that any of us should be expected to bleed regularly. I think I have found a solution, or at least a large improvement. The image above shows the grips I ordered from newgrip.com. They are a soft neoprene feeling material. I've only used them once but was very impressed by that blister-free workout. One month from now I'll let you know if I still think they were worth the $25. If anyone else has experience with these, please share.

If you're gonna go that far, why not just by some lifting gloves?

Kris, I own some lifting gloves but they aren't very comfortable and don't seem to help much with the blisters. At the CrossFit training most of the guys said gloves can make it worse.

hi, just wondering if these ever worked out for you...got some ripped up hands this morning and want to continue the wods!

They work well and will probably help with your situation. Long term I stopped using them because I feel like they "slip" a little and that I didn't have as good of a grip. For when you're already ripped up though, yes they're probably worth it.

Tape has always worked for me. There are a few "how to"s floating around the Crossfit community on how to tape up.
